So glad to hear that, I'm planning on releasing another two or three themes by the time KDE 4.8 final comes out.
But it's not just the looks that I love KDE for, it's very powerful and customizable to every little detail and comes with so many awesome and high quality programs/softwares. Kwin is simply the best WM out there also. I really recommend you to give KDE a serious shot, I bet you'd love it as soon as you learn how to tweak it to your needs and the way you like it
Well yeah, I experienced KDE only a little. My first linux was SuSE with KDE then my friend gave me Kubuntu. I used it for a little time then switched to Ubuntu. Since Gnome3/Gnome-shell came out I just want to switch back but I can't find any good distro.
The Mint team has proven that they do a good job. I've tried Arch, it's just not my type, I highly need some Ubuntu derivative or such .deb/software center based distro. Kubuntu just gave me so many crashes, I haven't tried out 11.10 tho.

You mean because of Unity or is it just smoother cuz of the hardware/software? I tried Unity I like it so far even with all the people hating on it but using Mint just feels a bit more comfortable to me somehow.

I used mint when it was ubuntu based. But my desktop doesn't get a long with a lot of Debian based Linux flavors for some reason, only ubuntu,open SUSE, PC Linux OS and Fedora work well.
I run OS X and Android most of the time now, so it hasn't been a big deal but I have always liked Mint.

Well as far as I know Mint is still Ubuntu based there's just a Debian based edition out there. With so much trouble with linux I had I'm not using it nowadays either. Maybe some day when there will be ONE ultimate distribution not 999999999 and you have to decide which to hate...
